goal in the rain with 11 seconds remaining to give the Bears and rookie QB

Ward catches four passes for 82 yards with a season-long 41-yard
becomes the first receiver in Steelers history to have 10,000 receiving yards
when he makes a 14-yard reception in the second quarter (10,022) from
Roethlisberger. Ward has now caught a
pass in a team-record 165 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the
NFL. Bengals' QB Carson Palmer
's 4-yard touchdown pass to Andre Caldwell with 14 seconds left in the game
gives the Bengals the hard fought game.
Vs. San Diego Chargers
With the offense having an incredible game, Ward has 8 receptions for
113 yards, in his 22nd career 100-yard receiving game in the regular season. RB Rashard Mendenhall rushes for 165 yards
on 29 carries.
@ Detroit Lions
In the Steelers first visit back to Detroit since winning Super Bowl
XV Ward catches seven passes for 85 yards. He scores his first TD of the season on a 17 yard pass from Big Ben. Roethlisberger
has a season-high three touchdowns passes through three quarters. Steelers Nation, known to travel well,
loudly chants "DE-FENSE!" and twirls Terrible Towels to help Pittsburgh
keep Detroit out of the end zone and win the game.
Vs. Cleveland Browns
Ward has eight receptions for 159 yards with a season-long TD of 52
yards. A 13-yard TD pass to Ward is
overturned on replay because the ball came out of his hands as he rolled out
of bounds. Ward
has his 23rd career 100-yard receiving game, marking his third all-time highest receiving game. This marks the Steelers 12th
consecutive win over the Browns.
VS. Minnesota Vikings
Ward makes his 19th consecutive start at WR and has one reception for
3 yards. In the last 6 minutes of the
game, DE Brett Keisel strips Vikings QB Brett Favre of the ball. LB LaMarr Woodley gets the ball and returns
it 77 yards for the TD. Then, with

Ward catches seven passes for 44 yards, two of them short TD passes
from Big Ben. In the 4th quarter, the
Broncos can't get the ball back. Pittsburgh
goes on an 11-play, 74-yard drive that takes 5:08 and ends with Ward leaping
over Denver CB Champ Bailey into the end zone to give the Steelers a 28-10
lead with 1:22 remaining. This marks
Ward's 16th career multi-touchdown game.
Vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Ward has four receptions for 24 yards. For the first time since 1998,
the Bengals take the season series.
@ Kansas City Chiefs
Ward catches 10 passes for 128 yards, his 24th career 100-yard
receiving game and fourth of the season in this tough game with the Chiefs. In the 2nd quarter, Ward gets the TD on an
8 yard pass from Roethlisberger. Only
a few minutes into OT, Roethlisberger
is taken off the field with a possible concussion after he takes a knee to
the helmet while being sacked by Derrick Johnson. Kansas K Ryan Succop
kicks a 22-yard field goal with 8:28 left in overtime, stunning the Steelers.

@ Baltimore Ravens
Ward has three receptions for 47 yards from QB Dennis Dixon, in for
Roethlisberger (concussion) and Charlie Batch (broken wrist) in the first
start of his career. In OT, Paul
Kruger intercepts a Dixon pass, setting up a 29-yard field goal by K Billy
Cundiff with 6:42 left. For
the second week in a row, the Steelers lose in OT and have lost three
straight for the first time since 2006 with Coach Cowher.

Vs. Oakland Raiders
Ward catches six passes for 77 yards. In this frenetic game, the lead changes hands five times in the final
nine minutes of the 4th quarter. Pittsburgh
drives 80 yards in 7 plays for a Ward TD, but Oakland WR Louis
Murphy catches an 11-yard TD pass from QB Bruce
Gradkowski with nine seconds remaining to take the lead and the
game. Ward now has 484 career points,
moving into fifth place on the team's all-time scoring list ahead of Jerome
Bettis, who finished his career with 482 points as a Steeler.
@ Cleveland Browns
In subzero weather, Ward makes his 25th consecutive start at WR,
catching four passes for 21 yards. Losing their fifth straight game, Roethlisberger is sacked 8
times. Pittsburgh is unable to put
together a scoring drive in the 4th quarter to tie up the
game. The downward spiral continues,
with hopes of another playoff run dimming.
Vs. Green Bay Packers
Ward gets seven receptions for 126 yards with a long of 54, eclipsing
the 1,000-yard receiving mark of the season. This is the second straight 1,000-yard year
for Ward, giving him six career 1,000-yard receiving season, the most in team
history. He has now caught a pass in
his team-record 176th consecutive game. Possibly saving their season, on the very last play of the game
with 0:02 seconds on the clock, Big Ben throws a touchdown pass to WR Mike
Wallace, who just manages to keep his toes in the end zone in a
play reminiscent of the pass and catch by Santonio Holmes that won the Super
Bowl last year. Roethlisberger throws
for 503 yards, becoming the first Steelers quarterback to throw for 500 yards
in a game. Roethlisberger now has
3,849 passing yards on the season, pushing him past Terry Bradshaw's 3,724 in
1979 for most in one season by a Steeler.
Vs. Baltimore Ravens
Ward catches four passes for 37 yards in his 177th consecutive game. Reed's
38-yard field goal puts Pittsburgh ahead with 5:25 remaining in the
game. For the first time, the Steelers
have two 1,000-yard receivers (Holmes, Ward),
a 1,000-yard rusher (Rashard Mendenhall) and a 4,000-yard passer
(Roethlisberger). With playoff hopes
still alive, the Steelers could still possibly not make the playoffs, even
with a win against the Dolphins on January 3.
@ Miami Dolphins
Ward has eight receptions for 61 yards. Ward has now caught
a pass in 178 consecutive games, moving him into fifth place ahead of Steve
Largent in NFL history. Even
with the win, the Steelers are knocked out of the playoff race when Baltimore
clinches an AFC wild-card berth by winning at Oakland.
Started all 16 games for the first time since 2004.
Ward became the first wide receiver in team
history to reach 10,000 career receiving yards and became only the fifth
player to reach 10,000 receiving yards with one team.
