season-opener with a team-high nine receptions for 91 yards and two TDs, one
on a 28-yard pass from Tommy Maddox. He goes on to surpass Lynn Swann's 336 career receptions
for third place on the Steelers' all-time career receptions list.

for a team-high 146 yards, including a 50-yard reception on the first play

Four receptions for 48 yards and one TD, Ward fought for extra
yardage on his TD when he appeared to be stopped at the Bengals' two-yard
line, but with assistance from Dan Kreider, manages

Coming off the bye week, Ward again leads the team, for the fifth
time this season, with five receptions for 90 yards and two TDs with a long
of 45 yards. One rush for three yards. Ward also makes the tackle on Aeneas
Williams at the Pittsburgh 32 after Williams intercepts a pass to

Ward has a team-high eight receptions for 66 yards to lead the team
for the sixth time. Ward also performs an acrobatic catch on a 2-yard pass
from Maddox for the TD. Also three
rushes for 14 yards, including a long of 11 yards.
Vs. Arizona Cardinals
Ward leads the team for the seventh time in nine games with six
receptions for 64 yards and two TDs.
@ San Francisco 49ers
Finishing with four catches for 44 yards, Ward suffers a neck injury
on a long pass play in the third quarter in which he landed head-first on the
turf. He was able to return to action
in the fourth quarter. In one of the
most dismal stretches of coach Bill Cowher's 12 seasons, the Steelers still
are just two games out of first place in the AFC North.

Ward has his lowest reception total of the season, catching just one
pass for 13 yards.
vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Ward catches a career-high 13 passes for 149
yards and one TD. 13 catches are the
second most in a single game in Steelers' history (14, Courtney Hawkins,
11/1/98 vs. Tennessee). He
makes five catches during the Steelers' final 11-play scoring drive,

Leading the team for the eighth time, Ward has four receptions for 67
yards, including a long of 38 yards. Ward makes the tackle on Derrick Gibson

In a game that featured extreme weather ranging from driving rain to
blizzards, Ward surpasses 1,000 receiving yards for
the third-consecutive season and becomes the only Steelers' player to reach
1,000 yards for three-straight seasons. He is only the second receiver to reach 1,000 yards three times (John
Stallworth). Ward also leads the
team in receptions for the ninth time with five catches for 68 yards,
including a long of 25.
Vs. San Diego Chargers
Becoming only the fifth receiver in Steelers'
history to reach 5,000 receiving yards, Ward leads the team for the
10th time with six receptions for 94 yards and one TD. He also has three rushing attempts for 32
yards, including a long of 25 yard. Jerome

Ward has two receptions for 11 yards. The Steelers lose in OT on a FG by Matt Stover. In perhaps the most disappointing of Bill
